Phew! Home now after a hard day at the Bendigo Writer’s Festival, which for me began at 10 am for the first panel discussion on the topic of whether we should believe everything we read or are told. At 11 am I caught up with Jane Curtis from the abc open before heading off to hear Ita Buttrose talk about her passionate life while we the audience ate a yummy two course lunch at the Art Gallery.
This luncheon also provided a lovely opportunity to catch up with friends.
At 2:30 I walked over to the VAC centre to listen to Carmel Bird talk and educate about memoir writing. Two hours later I emerged with two pieces of writing under my belt, the latter piece being something I was particularly pleased with as it was a poem, something I don’t do as often as I should.
Ok rest up now ready for another hard day doing some thing I really enjoy!

CO LAB OPENING NIGHT 2012

“Co Lab is a joint exhibition between the written word artists and visual artists. It was opened Friday 3rd August 2012 before an enthusiastic crowd of well wishers and art lovers. I have two works of art on show having collaborated with two separate writers – Tru Dowling and Mary Pomfret. The exhibition is on at View Point Gallery, Bendigo for the month of August. It is a fitting time as the inaugural Bendigo Writers Festival is also on in this month.”
