It has been so hot here that I am in go slow mode, however the last two days have given us a brief reprieve. I wanted to share this summer mantis, oops preying mantis with you.

Thanks to WRES for rescuing this Tawny Frogmouth and growing him ready for release. Neil brought him around tonight on dusk to release him back where he was born. How lovely and great thank you to all at WRES.

We were thrilled that our resident Tawny Frogmouth family decided to rest in a tree closer to the ground and so we could take a few more images before they disappear again.
This year we have had for the first time a young Crow/Raven in our vegie garden and we saw it being fed by its parent. Stayed around for two days before going off to greener pastures.
