Wearable Art on show in a Cafe


Scarves featuring Bendigo Flora on show, downstairs floor, Finders Keepers, Bendigo.

For a limited time Finders Keepers in Mitchell Street ispresenting an exhibition of fabric art by local artist Sharon Greenaway.(Finished 19th Jan.2019)

Greenaway uses her photographs of local flora to design scarvesthat are unique to Bendigo.

The fabric chosen ranges from cotton, cotton jersey,cotton/silk and silk crepe de chine.

Not only does Greenaway design the fabric she also sews theprinted pieces into several scarf styles.

Greenaway also has her work permanently available at localtourist outlets including the Visitor information centre and the GoldminesMuseum.

Nature at its best

Just found this colony of ladybugs in our garden. I was cutting down a palm plant we did not want and discovered this colony living in it. Needless to say we are going to keep the palm now!

The bugs have set up right next to our white rose that has been a haven for thrip…I am assuming the thrip have been a meal for the ladies!
