Slide art work in progress.

Thanks to Bill for capturing some images of me at work.

I have created mini slide art for many years, a good way of using up old slide projector slides.

Papier mache

Usually I don’t time myself while working, which I should because people often ask how long did this piece take to create?

Today I did…at 11 am I began a new female form for my solo exhibition next year. First step is a good thick layer of papier mache using newspaper.

I was tired after it and any wonder, it was 1 pm! I had no idea it would take me so long!

And that is only the beginning, when it is dry it may need another layer, if not then out comes my hand made flora infused paper to be moulded on.

Printing mini pics for next year

Just after I printed mini pics of some of my collection of fauna of Australia, I heard the unmistakable chip chip chip of the New Holland Honeyeater.

Looking outside there he/she was on the Kangaroo Paw in our backyard.

Yes more images to add to my collection!
