Olde fashioned home deliveries…

I have seen ads for staff in the paper about the Aussie Farmers Direct Company and so not knowing anything about this new business thought I would find out a little more about what it offers.
I believe it is offering an olde style delivery service…
What’s that I hear you say? Everything old is new again?
Below is the media information I received today as well a pic supplied by Aussie Farmers Direct.
Let me know if you use this business and what you think of them.

The local ‘milkman’ is back
Local residents PeteAndrew and Rochelle Phillips, have brought back the much loved, old fashionedconcept of the ‘milkman’ – delivering fresh, delicious and 100% Australianproduce direct to the doors of Bendigo residents.
A former salesman and receptionist, Pete andRochelle took the reins as the local Aussie Farmers Direct ‘milko’ because theywanted to be part of a service that supports 100% Australian products, in aflexible and convenient way to suit the lives of their busy customers.
“As an Aussie Farmers Direct franchisee, weare not only my own boss with all the flexibility that it brings, but I’m alsoable to make a positive impact on my community, support other Australianbusinesses and assist busy families with the convenience of free home delivery.
With an easyonline ordering system, Aussie Farmers Direct customers can choose to ‘set andforget’ a regular order or can make last minute amendments as theirrequirements change, saving our customer’s time and money. Fewer trips to thesupermarket means customers are not buying products that were not on their shopping list and enablesbusy parents to spend more time with their families,” says Pete.
Avid community supporters, Pete and Rochelle are currently supporting local pre-school,primary, and secondary schools in the ‘Healthy Kids, Healthy Families, HealthyFundraising’ program.
“The Healthy Eating Fundraising program is asimple and healthy approach to raising funds for schools. Parents simply signup as an Aussie Farmers Direct customer, nominate their local school, andAussie Farmers Direct will donate 2% of each family’s annual spend directly tothat school!” says Rochelle.
With quality, value, freshness andconvenience in mind, Aussie Farmers Direct is committed to sourcing only thebest quality, locally sourced food and delivering direct to the doors of morethan 100,000 Australian households in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria,Western Australia, South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory.
Aussie FarmersDirect’s range of fresh goods continues to expand but their commitment toquality; healthy 100% Australian produce remains the same. The current rangeincludes milk, bread, eggs, cheese, bacon, butter, coffee, water, fresh pasta, yoghurt and juice. We also deliver fruit andvegetables, meat, chicken, salmon, prawns and even seasonal lines such as hotcross buns for Easter and Christmas hampers.
Deliveries are made overnight and placed into esky coolerbags, which are left out on the doorstep by customers before 7am, to ensureoptimal freshness, whilst fruit and vegetables are delivered in boxes in theafternoons.

Books for Cambodian kids

A friend of mine has gone to Cambodia to teach English to year 1to4 children for a term. I plan to send some books to the school that I have collected with reviewing and wondered if any other interested people would like to also donate a children’s book or two as well.
I plan to post them off this week.
BTW preferably soft covers as the cost of postage to Cambodia is very high.
Email if you can add to the list.

Thanks.
