Summer days …

Hot summer days are a good excuse to stay inside and work.

I am framing my miniature artworks of local flora.

Using a variety of methods they are proving fiddly but worthwhile.

Each image is a Giclee archival picture printed on 100% archival cotton rag so they need to be treated with care.

Cutting paper and matte board frames on my cricut machine saves a lot of work and means accuracy when required.

Some frames are made from paper, matte board and an acrylic protective piece.

Others are made from air dry clay and will sit under glass for protection.

Each frame has a hand painted front frame…I quite enjoy doing this.
