Probably the most photographed person on Kangaroo Island with wild birds

THE PELICAN MAN OF KINGSCOTE, KANGAROO ISLAND.
John Ayliffe presents an entertaining and informative talk about the resident pelicans at Kingscote, Kangaroo Island.

For a paltry $5 to cover the feed bill, people can witness a flock of spoilt pelicans being hand fed daily at 5pm off the jetty at Kingscote. There are other shore birds who come in to take some of the spoils, taking their life into their own feet as pelicans, John explains, have been known to swallow one whole.

Worth a visit if you are ever over that way!

Birdlife photography

Ever since having major problems with my shoulder late last year I have had to be very careful when photographing anything, particularly one of my main loves-wildlife.To the point I sold my main birding lens as it simply was too heavy to lift anymore.

So today I was so delighted to be able to photograph this cutey in my backyard.

I hope you love this Silvereye as much as I do!

Professional Photographer Analogy

The difference between a hobby photographer and a professional photographer can be compared to the difference between someone who can change a tap washer and a plumber who can fix plumbing issues on a complicated scale.
There is a vast difference in skill, training and professionalism
