Two days of mixed art part 2.

Saturday was a day to finally view the #Bendigoartgallery to see the Frida Kahlo exhibition. (It closes next weekend.)

The works here were very personal and came from her home in Mexico.

Together with two friends, I wandered around several galleries to see the life of this amazing artist.

Her poignant words flowed over one gallery, underscoring the pain she must have gone through.

So very glad I got to see this exhibition.

Jeanette took this image of me watching the home movie about
Frida Kahlo.

Two days of mixed art part 1…

From South Melbourne pier to Bendigo art gallery, I had a lovely two days of contrasting art experiences.

A sunny day  on Friday saw Bill and I on the Kerferd Road Pier in South Melbourne exploring the diverse artworks of the #artonthepier exhibition.

My work, “Celebrating the natural landscape” is part of this unique show. I was very pleased with how it is printed and displayed, in real life it looked even better than what I had seen on social media.

There were many pieces I loved. Here is a small selection:

Ballarat and Frankston exhibit

Chris Macleod who is the curator for Art on the Pier has gone further with our works, organising them to be further displayed in Ballarat and Frankston shopping centres!

Keep your eyes open for these stunning works.

From 2nd July these montages/displays will be on show at various shopping centres.
