Book for Fiji School

Sally Odgers is in the process of editing a book for a school in Fiji.

All the stories, non-fiction works, poetry, pics etc are being donated by lots of Australian writers and illustrators.

I found out today that THREE of my pieces have been selected for the book…and as usual I get that rush of excitement and thrill that kids will get to read some of my work, and in this instance see some of my pics.

I don’t think I will ever not get excited at this type of news!

Autumn edition of bendigo magazine

The newest issue is just out.
My contribution this quarter was an article on the amazing work done by Bendigo Rotary groups.
I was amazed just what these groups do both here in Bendigo, further afield in Australia and the work overseas.

Showgirl Silkies

And for something completely different I have an article in the latest issue of Australasian Poultry Magazine about the amazing Showgirl Silkies.
These are Silkie chooks that have been bred with no feathering around their necks – Naked Necks!

Started in the USA (where else?) they are gathering interest in the poultry world.
