Ballarat International Foto Biennale 2013 Fringe Program: Registration Closing Soon

The Ballarat International Foto Biennale (BIFB) Fringe Program call for entry to all photographers to participate in this year’s program closes soon.

The Fringe Program is an open-entry, city-wide presentation of over 80 shows that hang in a range of diverse spaces including cafes, eateries, hotels, retail stores, accommodation, commercial galleries, and some more unusual spaces such as the Ballarat Observatory and the Ballarat Library.

There are still venues looking for shows throughout Ballarat, including those in the CBD, the Sovereign Hill Circuit, the Bridge Mall Circuit, the Lake Circuit, and the Skipton Street Circuit.

The BIFB’13 Fringe Program provides a stage for photographers of all levels to present their talents to the broadest possible audience, and to show alongside of, learn from, and be inspired by some of the best photographic talent from around the world.

There are no selection panel or curators or preferred styles of work or levels of experience that restrict artists from participating in the Fringe. The Fringe is totally open entry, so any artists who can secure a venue that is happy to show their work can participate.

Registration for the BIFB’13 Fringe Program closes Friday 3 May 2013. The Fringe registration fee is $250 (discount for BIFB members) and covers the cost of listing in BIFB’13 publications, venue and exhibition signage, and festival promotions and publicity.

For further details regarding the program, artist requirements for registration and participation, and available venues visit the website: http://ballaratfoto.org/fringe-program/
