Roots Multicultural Arts Mentor Exhibition

Here are some pics from this mornings opening.
The involvement of the audience in becoming also a part of the exhibition was incredibly well received. I loved the professional way Caitlyn (the student whom I mentored) rose to the challenge of asking people if she could photograph them and then took some great pics.
She really has a good eye for photography.

My newest poem for children has been published in the March 2014 of Countdown School Magazine.
Love the accompanying illustrations of busy bees!

‘Roots’

As part of 2014 Bendigo Festival of Cultures there is an art exhibition ‘Roots’ to be launched this Saturday at 10 a.m.

I have been involved in this venture in the role of art mentor to a 12 year old girl who was born in China but has made her home in Bendigo with her family for the last ten years.

Caitlyn and I got together and have produced a larger than life stamp album which is at its heart the best meaning of multi culturism.

I hope you can come to the opening this Saturday between 10 am and noon at Allans Walk Artspace, Bendigo.

You too will have the opportunity to be a part of this exhibition!
