Art for relaxation

The last few weeks I have been putting myself under pressure by considering and making art for two exhibitions.

The first exhibition is for the Contemporary Arts Society A4 annual at Herring Island in Melbourne, of which I am a member.

The other exhibition is a prestigious art show, one that I have wanted to try for years. I have entered two very different pieces.

This week it is art for enjoyment and creativity rather than pressure.

I have started on a piece to hand colour.

It is archivally printed on cotton rag and I will use pastels, pencils and other mediums to give it colour and life.

It took me longer than expected to set up but it is started and I can go back to it between other duties such as grandchildren sitting.

Soon I will be making up another art application before next months bump in for BUDA Castlemaine.

Thank you to Bill Greenaway for remembering to capture me at work.
