Exhibit B

For four weeks this pop up arts space will operate at shop 7 Fountain Court. And I am happy to say I was selected to participate with my piece Young Woman (circa 1950s).

Thanks to Maree Tonkin for the image…

The City of Greater Bendigo has established a temporary creative arts hub called Exhibit B at Shop 7 Fountain Court to showcase the work and talents of local artists.
City of Greater Bendigo Coordinator Arts and Culture Maree Tonkin said Exhibit B is a first for Bendigo and has been established in response to a demand for additional exhibition space in the Bendigo central business district.
“This project has been a fantastic collaboration with Bendigo and Adelaide Bank who have provided the use of a vacant shop in Fountain Court for the project.
“The establishment of a pop up arts space like Exhibit B will provide a unique opportunity to showcase the work of local artists, designers and makers and make their work more visible and accessible to the community. It will also activate a vacant property not under any formal lease arrangements, which is more interesting than looking at an empty shopfront.
“Bendigo’s creative community is growing and it’s important to support our local artists to develop and establish their creative practice because this contributes to building an exciting regional City,” said Ms Tonkin.
The Exhibit B pop up will be open for 4 weeks only and if successful the trial pop up model may be introduced in other locations where space is available.
Exhibit B has also partnered with Bendigo Makers’ Crib who will be showcasing jewellery, ceramics and textiles and much more. Exhibit B is located at Shop 7 Fountain Court, Charing Cross and will be open to the public from this Wednesday 9 March operational hours are Wednesday – Thursday 10am – 4pm, Friday 10 am – 7pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am –
