Children’s book reviews

I have just written the last of my children’s book reviews for Magpies.

I have been honoured to work for this magazine for many years, both as a reviewer and writer but now feel I should concentrate more on my OWN art – both visual and written.

Reading and writing about children’s literature is a wonderful privilege, so if ever you are given this opportunity, run with it…

Old Homes in the Australian Landscape

Exploring memory and remnants left over in old homes/ruins within the Australian landscape. Particular interest for me are the floral remains.

This is one such image that has been captured in camera with very little tweaking – only contrast and tone.

Yellow book

I hope to make a fourth book for Transient Landscape and it will feature fauna as opposed to all flora.

Here is one image I am working on and may include, it has taken me a long time to achieve this type of macro shot, ever since my university days in fact!

I am really pleased with it and hope it gives you pleasure.

http://www.sharongreenaway.com ever since my folio at uni over 5 years ago now, I have wanted to get as close as possible to the honey bee for macro shots, today I succeeded despite sore shoulder…used my brain and shot vertical, much easier onthe pain.
