Picture day 208 – A donkey in Morocco

I don’t think there are any other creature on earth that can look so sad as a donkey can. When I have been out traveling in various countries I quite often come across very dirty and very skinny donkeys, I feel very sad and just wonder why people can be so mean to them.

Feather brained

Some people may already think this, but lately I am going feather brained. What with researching and photographing emus for my new children’s e-book I am also endeavouring to capture images of the local bird population and its young.

So far the tawny frogmouths have been very co operative, so have the crested pigeons. Recently the noisy miners have joined the list and a single gorgeous brownish coloured young butcherbird.

I hope to incorporate this imagery into a fine art project for next year…wish me luck!
