One of my most vivid memories of me and mum was waiting for Dad to finish night shift. I think it was a friday night and we would watch television together and I would brush mum’s hair before she put it into butterfly clips.
She always liked her hair to look nice and even though she was going to the hairdressers the next day, she wanted her freshly washed hair to look good for the trip into town.
An ad I remember on the telly was icpotta from the Age and a famil show we watched starred Sebastian Cabot as a butler to twins and a single father…amazing what these butterfly clips evoke in my memory.
