Art competition you may be interested in

I was asked to pass this information on to any interested artists and while it is not in Bendigo, I know there are many artists here who would like to know about new opportunities so thought it appropriate to post here.
Good luck, Best Sharon.

An opportunity for Young People of Bendigo

I just got this media release and thought that many of the people who I know through Facebook and other places may be interested so I thought I would pass on the info:
CALLING YOUNG LOGO DESIGNERS
The City of Greater Bendigo’s Youth Development Team is calling on creative local young people to take part in a competition to design a new logo for Mic Up Productions a committee of local young people who plan events ‘For Youth by Youth’.
City of Greater Bendigo Youth Development Coordinator Kylie Emonson said the competition is a great opportunity for young people to use their creativity and talent to try and win a $200 gift voucher.
“We are looking for logo entries from passionate and creative young people aged between 12 and 25 who live, work, study or play in the City of Greater Bendigo.
“Mic Up productions works in conjunction with the City of Greater Bendigo and ‘FReeZA’ to provide young people in Bendigo aged 12-25 with the opportunity to plan and stage live music gigs, BMX/Skate comps and other cultural, recreational and artistic events in fully supervised and safe venues.
“The winning logo will be used as the new corporate logo for all Mic Up Production events so there is plenty of scope to develop a great logo, said Kylie.
The design competition will be judged by the City of Greater Bendigo Youth Development Team and young people and all entries must be received by May 31, 2011.
A design brief and competition conditions is available from www.yobendigo.com.au
